Austin Wedding at Vista on Seward Hill: Josh & Tatiana

Josh & Tatiana’s wedding at Vista on Seward Hill was simply magical. I am absolutely in love with ALL of their wedding photos. I can’t narrow them down so I made a slide show to showcase my favorites. They had a very small wedding with close family and friends, most of them from out of the country. Everyone was so relaxed, friendly and welcoming which made for a very pleasant evening.

Austin Engagement Photos in the Rain: Hien + Fred

Here are the rest of Hien & Fred’s engagement photos taken last week in downtown Austin. It was raining but we had no chance to reschedule because they live in Dallas and their wedding is coming up in Nov. We just went with it and it turned out great. I really love the last few shots that are back lit. It really created a dramatic effect highlighting the rain and the atmosphere of the shoot. Hien and Fred were really fun to work with and, as you can see, they were up for any of my crazy idea’s.

Austin Engagement Photography: Hien + Fred

Here is a sneak peek of Hien and Fred’s engagement photos I took a few days ago. It was raining in Austin, but that didn’t stop us. We hit the streets with high spirits and an arsenal of umbrellas. ;) It was a real challenge to work in less than perfect conditions but it also forced me to think outside the box a little. We found some cool parking garages and construction sites to shoot at. They were both really fun to work with and were very open to something different. So that’s what we did ;)

The processing is a combination of actions I used and modified to give the appearance of a Tin Type metal print. At Texas State, we learned how to make this type of print, which was VERY difficult and often resulted in sloppy edges. The process involves pouring light sensitive chemicals "evenly" across a TIN plate which the image would be projected on. It drove me CRAZY in class because I could never get it perfect. Well, Photoshop makes it easy now…

Austin Wedding Photography Sneak Peek: Tatiana + Josh

Tatiana and Josh were married last night at the Vista on Seward Hill in Austin, Texas. Everyone was so friendly and kind, I could not ask for better clients. The outdoor wedding, while a little chilly, turned out really nice and the reception was very romantic. They were so cute and lovey all the time which made it really easy for me to capture those moments. Congratulation to both you!!! Here are two of my favorite photos from the wedding.
