Why do I need an engagement session? What can I use them for?

Engagement Portraits are a great way to get to know your photographer before the big day. It is a fun way to show off your personality and capture your love for each other. They are great for guestbooks, Save-the-Date Magnets and invitations.

Where are some good places to shoot?

There are many interesting and fun locations around the Austin area. Here are a few place I have shot.
Butler Park, Town Lake, South Congress, Mt. Bonnel, Downtown Austin, Guerne Texas, San Marcos River, and many more locations all around Texas. It should be somewhere that has meaning to you, somewhere that tells the story of your engagement. I am open for sugesstions and I always love exploring new locations around Central Texas.

How long does the session last?

Session usually last between 1-2 hrs depending on the location selected.

What should I wear?

2 outfit changes are allowed and recommended. Nice jeans and a button up shirt with maybe a casual sports coat for him. For her, a casual dress or nice jeans with a nice shirt. Try not to wear white or anything with too much pattern, make it simple. Make sure your shoes are comfy to sit, stand, run, and jump around in. Funky accessories are always fun to work with, like any unique necklaces or hats you might have. Try to color coordinate with each other, but don’t match too much.
