Who will photograph my wedding if I hire you?

I think it is important that you find a photographer that you like and feel comfortable with. After all you will be spending a lot of time with them on your wedding day. If you decide to book me as your photographer, than I will be at your wedding. Beware of large studios that will assign a photographer just for you. They might have a good price, but there is no guarantee about who will be there on your wedding day. It is important to make sure that the person you meet about your wedding photography is the same person that will shoot your wedding. Every client is unique and that’s why I like to give personalized service to each and every one.

Digital or Film?

Awww… the age old question. I shoot wedding’s with only the highest quality digital cameras. Your wedding day will only happen once and it is important that a professional photographer have reliable gear and always have a backup just in case something were to go wrong. I bring multiple camera bodies and lens as well as a second photographer to make sure that we capture your day without hesitation.

Do you travel outside of Austin?

Yes! I love to travel and I love shooting weddings. I would be happy to travel to any destination that you wish. My passport is current and ready to go.

How much is the deposit? How can I make my payments?

The initial deposit that is due upon securing your date is 1/3 of the total package price. I use an online studio management site which allows you to access information related to your wedding. You can review/sign contracts, fill out online questionnaires and even make payments using your credit or debit card.

Who is your second photographer? Do you have a backup plan?

My girlfriend is also a wedding photographer and we love it when we have the chance to work together. We have great chemistry sometimes it feels like we read each others mind. When she is not available, I turn to my network of reliable and creative professionals, I have a few photographers that I regularly work. Over time we have built a good working relationship so that we work together more fluently on the wedding day.

How do you keep my photos safe?

In this digital age it is important to back up all your crucial data. And the beautiful thing about the digital age is that you can make as many copies as you want! I can’t stress this enough, back up your photos. I have a rigorous back up plan after every wedding to make sure that your files are safe. This includes multiple on-site backups on external hard drives and all so off-site back up using DVD’s and Online just in case there is a fire in the house.

I view all my images on facebook, why do I need prints?

The print still has it’s place in our world and I cannot stress this enough. Make prints of your photographs! It is still the best way to preserve your memories so you can share them with your children some day. That is why I offer printing services online, to make it as simple as possible for you or your family to order prints. I work closely with a professional lab that only print for professional photographers to ensure that the final product is a high quality print that has the correct color, and finish.

Do you have a limit on how many photographs you take? How many photos will I get?

NO! I will take as many photos as you want me to… I am working for you, so if you have a particular photo in mind I am at your service. During the editing process I narrow down the photos to something between 300-700, depending on the size of the wedding. This makes it easier for you to select your favorite images for the album.

What if I don’t want the engagement session, can you give me a discount?

No. I enjoy shooting engagement sessions for a few good reasons. It gives me the chance to get to know you before the big day. It gives me a chance to get some creative photographs without the stress and limitations of the wedding day. It’s FUN! I enjoy working closely with couples and creating images that they will love.

How long is the engagement session?

Typically 1-2 hrs is just about right. I find by the 2nd hour everyone is usually tired from all the fun we have been having!

How long do you need for the formal photographs?

At least 30 min but if you want to get creative shots of the Bride and Groom and/or the bridal party, then I will need an additional 30mins.
