Miranda has been good friends with my sister, Megan, now for a few years. They met each other because their kids went to school together and since then she has been a part of the whole family. Her kids Shyann and Dalton, aka the only bridesmaid and groomsman, are downright amazing. I was ecstatic when they asked me to shoot their wedding. I thought it was going to be a little intimidating working in front of everyone in my family but it turned to be a blast. The wedding was held at Angel Springs in Austin, a cute venue made perfect for weddings. They decided to get married on June 1st, a monday..? the date was very significant to them, the day Miranda’s grandfather passed away. The ceremony was very sweet and Jason made sure to give her a nice long kiss by request of Miranda and I. Shyann was the last to give her speech and it shocked everyone by being such a heartfelt yet amazingly funny speech for a 13 year-old girl that didn’t write anything down before hand.
I really hope that I get to shoot more weddings like these in the future!

I held the camera on a tripod over the tables to get these shots…

For this shot I put an external flash in the closet behind the dress to light them up!

A few heartfelt moments between Mother and Daughter just before the wedding. Shyann was soooo happy…

This required some serious timing skillz… It took about 10 tries to get it right…

I have never seen anyone use bubbles for the first dance… but I highly recommend it!

Here’s Dalton, training to be a photographer… on the right is my nephew, Gaige, dancing with Shyann. Below is my sister, Megan dancing with her soon the be husband, JT. I will be shooting their wedding in Costa Rica next May!!! On the bottom right is my Mother and Lee, they got married a couple years ago…

These are excellent photographs! The couple must be very happy with your work.
Very cool rings shot. And the color in that hanging flower jar pic is PERFECT.
