Austin Engagement Photos at Butler Park: Terri & Mark

Terri & Mark are getting in Austin this September. They were such a fun couple to work with, so goofy and I loved it! I love to capture peoples neutral expressions and emotions. We walked around Butler park and down to auditorium shores area located on Lady Bird Lake. The weather was perfect but it was just a little bit crowded because of the SXSW music festival that was going on in Austin at the time. Enjoy!

FYI – I will be heading out of town on Monday. I am shooting one of my clients engagement photos in New York City! So excited! I have never been! So I might not be answering as many e-mails but keep checking back on the blog as I will be posting a lot of new shoots over the next week!;)

Agreed, the far-off building is such a wicked backdrop. And her dress is the perfect blend of texture and pattern.

I’m going to link this post to all my clients as an example of dressing to compliment each other without being all matchy-matchy.

Thomas Lester - April 3, 2010 - 11:33 am

Love that first shot. Great DoF and composition. I also love the shot with the building behind the couple (making the rectangle patterns). Perfect use of long lens depth compression! Perfection!

[...] Matt & Cori were married in February at The Terrace Club. Matt is also a wedding photographer, so it must have been a challenge for him to entrust his own wedding to another photographer. Ben Godkin had the opportunity and shared these photos and the time-lapse video with us. What strikes me most about these photos is Ben’s use of light and how vibrant the colors are. Check out that blue sky during the ceremony. Beautiful. [...]
