Johanna & Min are getting married at the Red Corral Ranch so they wanted their engagement session to have a similar vibe. This location is top secret so I can’t devulge it, but it was absolutley PERFECT! P.S. I couldn’t resist posting the “Falcore esque” picture of their dog… Enjoy!
I have known Victoria for many years. We went to school together back in Bastrop. I was so excited when she approached me to shoot her engagement photos. 1 year to the day, Jason proposed to Victoria at this beautiful bed-n-breakfast in Cat Spring, Texas. It was a perfect day! Congratulations!
I have always called Bastrop my home… every now and again I get to go back and re-live those fond memories I had growing up in the small town. Ever year, Bastrop has a Rodeo/Carnival… in when I was in 10th grade I won a t-shirt design contest for the carnival and my drawing was printed on hundreds of shirts that where sold at the carnival to help raise money for the Bastrop Association For the Arts Scholarship… which I happen to be awarded upon graduation.Sam & Colleen wanted something a little different and fun for their engagement photos so when the Carnival came to town… we jumped on the opportunity. Sam went to school at Bastrop High and I have known him for many years. I am so happy they choose me to photograph their wedding coming next April at Star Hill Ranch!
Today was a very special day for me and a lot of families in Texas. I spent the whole afternoon in Fort hood with one of my clients as she waited to reunite with her fiance who has been stationed in Iraq over the last year. Now, I have photographed many weddings which are always very special and joyous, but it’s not every day you get to witness something so raw and emotional. It was an incredible experience and I was reminded of how much our soldier’s familys sacrifice every day. No matter what your political views are… you have to respect the sacrifice they have made for all of us. I’m so glad that Will, and all the others, made it home safely. So grab a tissue, sit back and celebrate LOVE. Kimberly & Will are getting married on July 10th 2010 in Austin, Texas. Congratulations and Welcome Home!
Make sure to check out the slideshow at the bottom.
Will came home from active duty on Jan. 25th 2010. They are getting married on July 10th 2009.

Ben, thanks for your inspiration to join us to see Will come home! None of us quite realized what an emotional day it would be but your video captured the day perfectly and was a great example of the love Will & Kim shared with each other and the families that care about them. For everyone whose never witnessed a homecoming, your video really illustrates the human side of it!
Amazing images Ben and such a moving story. I love the anticipation building in the images, and then Kimberley finally runs to Will, that was just beautiful. And yes, you made me shed a tear or two.
Sheesh, you weren’t kidding about needing a tissue! Absolutely beautiful job

Welcome home, Will! Thank you for serving our counrty so sacrificially. What a wonderful pictorial of your Homecoming! Be blessed…
This is a wonderful “scrapbook” of such a precious moment. Congratulations, Kimberly and Will and thank you for being willing to share this with all of us!
So… probably not the most typical engagement photo I have ever taken. Usually they are full of happy people in love, (I got plenty of those as well) but this was just to good to pass up. Sarah and Christian invited me out the their friends Ranch in Wimberley to shoot their engagement photos, right across the river from the famous Blue Hole. Of course, It was the only day this week that was not bright and sunny, go figure, but we made it work. It was raining off and on during the whole shoot but not enough to stop us. As you might recall this is not my first time to shoot engagement photos in the rain. I just had to share this one… I am so excited to post them all because I know we got so many great pics. Stay tuned.
