I have said this before but I will say it again… I LOVE Red Corral Ranch! The fields and relaxing atmosphere put you at ease and prepare you for a relaxing weekend get away. I have photographed many weddings out at the ranch in Wimberley but only a few engagement sessions. Christina and Matt loved my last session out there so much they knew it was the only place for them!

So today I got to do something completely unique… shoot an engagement session on a boat! After taking a few shots near the 360 bridge we head out. Larissa & Courtney were so excited to get out on the water, funny thing is that the boat actually overheated shortly after we left the dock. We were stranded, but it prompted me to think a little bit outside the box to come up with this shot. I LOVE IT! I had such a great time with them and I have many more fun photos to share… but those will have to wait.
Enjoy!

I know what your thinking… how in the world did you get this shot?! Well… I just threw my camera up in the air and hoped for the best! No, not really. I slapped on my trusty 15mm fisheye lens and attached my camera to the end of my lightstand. Set the camera on a 10 sec timer and lifted the camera 10 feet above my head. Trying not to fall in the water is the hardest part.![]()

Some how missed blogging this session earlier… which sucks because it was pretty AWESOME! Sam & Beatriz wanted to take their engagement photos out in Bryan, Texas because they went to school there in College Station. After walking around downtown Bryan, we hit the country side. Enjoy!

[...] at the Red Corral Ranch! I am really falling in love with this country wedding venue! This time Beatriz & Sam choose to get married on The Labyrinth under a tradition Jewish Hupa. Jessica from Something to [...]
Some of you may have seen some of these photos in a recent feature on Rock n’ Roll Bride. Meet Mandy, Braxton, & Truck (their dog). They are getting married out in Fredericksburg at Becker Vineyards this September. While in town finalizing some of the wedding plans we decided it was the perfect location for their engagement photos. They were staying at a cozy little Bed & Breakfast called Settlers Crossing located just outside Fredericksburg, Texas. It was the perfect backdrop full of open fields and friendly animals.
Then we head over to a local landmark called Enchanted Rock to catch the sunset… it was a magical day! Enjoy!

[...] Mandy & Braxton had a small, intimate wedding at Becker Vineyards out in Fredericksburg, Texas. What a wonderful day it turned out to be! They decided to do a “First Look” before the ceremony in the beautiful Becker Wine Vineyard. I love it when I get plenty of time with the Bride & Groom for portraits! The ceremony was wonderful and the food was to die for! As the evening winded down, I stepped out back and looked up to see the most amazing night sky I have seen in a long time. I grew up in the country and when I was younger I remember being mesmerized by the night sky. I could stare out at the stars and ponder the origin of our existence for hours. That night, the feeling came back to me as I set up the last shot of the night… Enjoy! 0 votes [...]

What every e-session needs, a dog, a donkey and sheep! Perfect photos, I LOVE LOVE LOVE them… exactly the sort of stuff I’d love for myself.
It is always nice to photograph people you know. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to work with an old friend of mine from Bastrop where I grew up. Megan and I always sat next to each other in school due to the alphabetical assigned seating… We have know each other since we were little youngsters! Now she is all grown up and getting married to a wonderful guy. Hunter & Megan have natural chemistry together, they were so playful together which made my job a lot easier.
Something magical happened on that day which made the rain clouds part to reveal the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in Bastrop. It was a really special day and I can not wait till their wedding which I am sure will be just as amazing.
