Indian Wedding in Houston: Nafis & Ambereen

I absolutely LOVE photographing Indian weddings! Each one is unique and colorful. I love the chaos that ensues with each passing day as the ceremonies get more elaborate and complex. This is part one of a two day Indian wedding in Houston Texas. Nafis & Ambereen put on a fantastic party to entertain their family and friends and show their appreciation. Day one was the Mehendi, Sangeet dance and a cultural dance called the Dandiya Check out more photos from Day 1 here.

Indian Wedding Photography: Nafis & Ambereen Day2

Day two of photographing Nafis & Ambereen’s Indian wedding started early on Sunday morning. They seemed to be in a constant state of “getting ready”. Changing outfits and and looks all day long. The reception was held at the Convention Center at the San Luis Resort on Galveston Island. Check out Day 1 here.

Danny & Sangeeta’s Indian Wedding at Casa Blanca

Last month I shot Danny and Sangeeta’s Indian wedding at Casa Blanca in Round Rock, Texas. This lovely venue, just a short drive from Austin, is located on the edge of Brushy Creek. It’s actually a house converted into a wedding venue… and I love it! There are beautiful green lawns and a spacious reception hall to entertain many guest. Danny and Sangeeta could not have picked a better location for their wedding. The weather turned out perfect and the day went beautifully! Below are some of my favorite moments as well as a slide-show with the whole wedding day. Enjoy!

Indian Wedding Photography in Houston

A couple weeks ago I had a wonderful opportunity to second shoot a wedding with Francis Joseph. He was shooting an Indian wedding in Houston and needed help for the 2 day event. It was amazing! The reception was held in a GIANT airport hanger in Tomball Texas. You might recall that I shot a Pakistani wedding in Dallas with Lynette J back in May of 09. The ceremony was held at the Sikh Center in Houston on Sat. and the Reception was the next day in Tomball. On the second day the Bride and Groom made their grand entrance in a Helicopter! I got to ride with them.;)The rest of the night was filled with lots of great food, and dancing. Enjoy my favorite photos below.

Pakistani Wedding Photography: Saima and Imran

Wow! what a crazy month it has been I have been shooting a wedding every weekend, sometimes 2 or 3!!! I’m just now getting around to editing the Pakistani wedding I shot a couple weeks ago for Lynette J in Dallas, Texas. All In all Shyann and I were there for 3 days covering the events which spanned 5 days! I learned so much about Pakistani wedding traditions, and also some new traditions like egging the Groom! I had a wonderful time, Saima and Imran were so friendly and welcoming. It was a great experience and I hope to have the opportunity to photograph another one soon.

Saturday night was the Dance party! Many choreographed dances performed to popular Indian songs for Bride and Groom. This was amazing!
